U.S. Space Command held the third event in its Apollo Insight wargame series in Colorado Springs, and CT Cubed took part. The series brings the commercial sector together with military planners to work through hard problems in the space domain.
What Apollo Insight is
Apollo Insight is a four-part commercial-integration wargame series hosted by U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM). The third event focused on maneuver warfare and diversified orbits, using new scenarios and taskings. Participants worked on joint strategies, refined how teams communicate, and generated ideas for future capabilities drawn from commercial industry.
The format is a tabletop exercise. Teams reason through realistic situations and decisions without the cost or risk of a live operation. Both planners and industry get to test assumptions early and share what each side knows.
CT Cubed at the table
Our Chief Security Officer, Eric Bailey, represented CT Cubed at the event. During the wargame he spoke with Gen. Stephen Whiting, the USSPACECOM commander, about the cybersecurity challenges facing today's space systems.
CT Cubed builds training, tactics, and technology for space and cyber operations. Events like Apollo Insight are a direct fit. We build realistic, hands-on environments for the people who plan and defend space missions, and members of our team train Space Force defenders. We bring what we learn back into our tools and training.
Why it matters
Space operations now depend on a mix of government and commercial systems across many orbits. Planning for contested conditions needs both sides at the table. Events like Apollo Insight help the commercial sector understand mission needs, and help military teams see what industry can bring. CT Cubed is glad to support that work.
If your team plans or defends space systems, our Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Space course is built around these same problems.
